Separate to your planning application, you will also need to apply for listed building consent and likely seek Building Regulations approval as well. Most local authorities employ a conservation officer, who can be consulted for expert advice on applications relating to historic buildings.

We have extensive experience working on historic buildings of all grades including Scheduled Ancient Monuments. We can work with you to advise on what adaptations will likely be approved.

We are experienced in recognising traditional materials and methods, and we have contacts who are specialists in reproducing them for traditional renovation and alteration works.
